Relationships - Finding our Way in a Time of Isolation

Mike Sotski ~ May 3, 2020

Family Voice

It’s the demanding, rushed voice that comes when we are sleep deprived, under pressure, and over stressed.

What are some of the beach balls in your life?

Our current realities are exposing the cracks in our souls in a way we have not encountered before.

The beach balls that we keep under the surface of the water, are areas we haven’t given Jesus access to.

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.  Always be humble and gentle.  Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

Ephesians 4:1-2 NLT

Humility is a continual awareness of God, of our sinfulness and frailty, and the equal value of all other people.

Gentleness nutures people, respects them and allows people to drop their defences and deal more objectively with the central issues.

Patience grows up from the soil of a heart that is cared for by your Father in heaven who loves us.

Apprenticeship Prayer Partner Questions

What are some of the beach balls that I have been trying to hold beneath the surface?

Has my “Family Voice” become more prominent over the past 6 weeks? What would cause that?

How can I walk with greater humility, gentleness and patience to those closest to me?
